OMC mission is serving all people interested in the Mediterranean Offshore Industry. It is committed to every sector of the offshore community including engineers, scientists, policy makers, educators, industry leaders, students and concerned individuals.
Since its launch in 1993, OMC has been working to disseminate offshore science and technical knowledge, to promote and support education for offshore, engineers and technicians and advance the development of tools and procedures required to explore, study, and further the responsible and sustainable use of the energy resources in the Mediterranean.
OMC started as a regional event and has now achieved a recognized international status.
During the 20 years of activity OMC has supported the evolution of the oil & gas business, especially of the Italian energy industry, by offering oil and gas professional an ideal arena for discussion on research and development, technology achievements, and future challenges in the energy sector.
Through the years OMC has experienced a remarkable growth in terms of attendance figures, exhibiting companies and conference quality.
20 years have passed and OMC is continuing to make a daily effort to improve, looking at the oil and gas scenario and being able to reflect worldwide trends in its conference and exhibition.
OMC long history of success and growth since the first edition in 1993 makes it an international meeting arena for the oil & gas industry, which no one should miss.
OMC 2011 gathered the participation of 469 exhibiting companies from 25 countries and 10,483 visitors from 38 countries, the exhibit area consisting of 6 pavilions.
For OMC 2013 over 18.000 square meters of exhibit space are made available to welcome all the requests and to host special purposed areas inside the halls such as posters sessions, students and company presentations arena, photo galleries and many others. |
